Forty America First Actions in the One Big Beautiful Bill

In April 2025, AFPI published a primer outlining recommendations based on over 300 pages of policy research drawn from 130 sources. These recommendations were intended to help Congress complement the Trump Administration’s efforts to continue delivering measurable and meaningful results under the America First Agenda. Hardworking Americans endured four years of record-setting government spending, inflation, broken borders, tax hikes, and more during the Biden-Harris Administration. The primer made critical recommendations and included dozens of estimates on deficit reductions.

Millions of families across America support the One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed by Congress because of the following provisions within the bill:

• Delivers the largest tax cut in history for middle- and working-class Americans.

• Savings of up to $10,000 in annual take-home pay for families.

• No tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security for hardworking Americans.

• Makes the American Dream more affordable by no tax on “made in America” auto loans for new cars.

• Protects family farms from double taxation.

• Establishes work requirements for those receiving federal assistance, protecting benefits for the most vulnerable who need it most.

• Makes the largest investment in border security in a generation of more than $170 billion.

• Provides educational opportunities for students to pursue workforce training programs.

• Cuts taxpayer funding for illegal aliens receiving federal benefits.

• Cuts taxpayer funding for gender transitions for minor children.

• Cuts taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortions and gender transition treatments for minors.

• Removes taxpayer funding for universities that engage in censorship, electioneering, or radical gender ideology.

• Unleashes pro-growth provisions, allowing Americans to create more jobs.

• Supports homeschooling by expanding 529 savings plans to cover materials and extracurricular activities.

• Supports school choice by expanding scholarship options for families and for families with special needs.

• Supports additional options for a drastically more affordable educational option to a traditional four-year college degree by holding schools accountable.

• Provides support to investigate big Pharma and hospitals who pushed “gender affirming care” procedures for minors.

• Strengthens Medicaid for Americans who truly need it, while rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse.

• Protects care for the elderly and the most vulnerable.

• Expands Health Savings Accounts, providing more flexibility and control for individuals when it comes to their health care decisions for the first time ever while also classifying all bronze and catastrophic plans under the ACA as high-deductible health insurance plans.

• Holds federal bureaucrats accountable by making government smaller and more efficient.

• Adds a new adoption tax credit of $5,000.

• Ends the Biden-era war on American energy and lowers energy costs.

• Ends green corporate welfare for pet political projects.

• Reverses the radical Green New Deal agenda by rescinding, repealing, and phasing out Inflation Reduction Act provisions that would have ended the suburban way of life.

• Shifts adjudication in the immigration system from the American taxpayer to aliens.

• Unleashes domestic oil, gas, and nuclear power, thus restoring energy independence.

• Frees up energy development on America’s public land.

• Restores U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve after unnecessary and reckless mismanagement during the Biden Administration that left our Nation vulnerable.

• Increases allowances and special pay for military families.

• Expands educational opportunities and childcare fee assistance for servicemembers.

• Provides modernization for our military to keep families safe.

• Eliminates radical (ESG) political policies from our financial and community banking sectors that have been fueling inflation in order to make cars and homes more affordable.

• Restricts the Chinese Communist Party’s ability to purchase vital American infrastructure assets by adding further accountability and oversight.

• Promotes more cures through domestic manufacturing of essential medicines.

• Adds pro-growth reforms to unleash investment in America through a fast-track process for various economic sectors and communities.

• Supports common sense policing initiatives to keep our communities safe.

• Supports family care givers by expanding the Child Tax Credit.

• Supports young parents with Trump accounts.

• Provides permanent pro-growth provisions like Opportunity Zones 2.0 to target economic development initiatives and invest in economically challenged localities, including new Opportunity Zones for investment in rural communities. [i][ii]
