AFPI Celebrates Supreme Court Victory for Equal Protection in Redistricting

WASHINGTON, D.C. America First Policy Institute (AFPI) chair for Election Integrity, Kenneth J. Blackwell, issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais:

"Advocates of the redistricting effort said the map would protect minority voting rights. In reality, it would have transformed the Voting Rights Act into a tool for partisan gerrymandering, forcing states to engineer partisan districts under the guise of racial equity."

The Court ended years of racist practices and reinforced a foundational principle: every American must be treated equally under the law, and the government cannot divide citizens based on race.
