Put the American People First - Fund the Entire Department of Homeland Security
Washington, DC — The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) issued the following statement from AFPI Executive Director Martin Gillespie:
"Refusing to fund our Nation's homeland security is having devastating consequences for the American people, including historic wait times at airports and increased vulnerabilities to our safety and security in a heightened threat environment.
We cannot allow radical leftists in Congress to hold this funding hostage. Choosing not to fund the entire Department of Homeland Security - including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection frontline agents who work tirelessly every day to secure our border and deport criminal illegal aliens - is deeply irresponsible.
Thank you, Speaker Johnson, for putting the interests of the American people first while the open borders caucus of Congress continues jeopardizing innocent people and using our national security as a political pawn."
